Ina:
Talked to Russell Racing. Spectators are no problem, but there are two rules.
1. You have to pay for your own lunch at the Viansa winery (or bring your own).
2. All prime classroom seats belong to the drivers.

I'm interested. If you are not up to 24 yet, send payment instructions.

Has anyone given thought to a hotel to stay at the night before the Driving School? I stayed at Somona Valley Inn last time and it was fine...but would like to stay closer to the track. If we pull together maybe we can get a group discount somewhere.

Vallejo is probably the closest sizable town to the track... and they happen to be pretty cheap as far as hotels go. From vallejo, it's only about a 25 minute or less drive to Sears Point. I live fairly close to vallejo so have never had cause to stay there If there's enough interest I can call around and find a decent place for cheap..

How about $10 ,nah just kidding. I think we should share rooms thou, that will make it real cheap.

When I went to tahoe last winter we got a two bed room at an econolodge with hot tob (hot tub was outside) for $40 total! We divided that three ways... It was pretty nice for that price...
