Just read this thread and it's very appropriate since I'm booked into the May8th class - I guess they my be one other s2000 there (hwy9gal?).

I posted on the main board about my rear tires being almost at there wear bars - do you guys think I'll sufer from lack of traction ?

Not even sure I can get new rears before the course any way - how many miles where on you rears when you took the class?

thanx

tim

I'm new at this. Been reading all your messages for the last few weeks, trying to learn how to participate. On Sears Point -- in May of 2000, I was the first S2000 to take the class. It was everything that has been described -- reaching speeds of up to 115 mph on the straights before braking hard for a 30 mph turn. Thought I was a killer heading into turn 11 at 80-90 mph, only to be told that the winner of some professional event was going 165 mph there! I'm originally from Napa and know the Mt. Veeder drive and also know a great drive going east out of Napa. Any of you folks in the mid Contra Costa area?

Boxster??? What Boxster? I never saw him in the mirror. Never saw him again until we all parked at the end of the day.

Oh yeah, I had about 3000 miles on my tires...and lost about another 1000 miles worth of tread
