Which roads to take from Bodega Bay to Monterey?
During the last week of this month, me and my wife are planning on taking a week long road trip from LA to Yosemite, Reno, Napa/Sonoma, Bodega Bay, Point Reyes, SF, Monterey, Big Sur, and Cambria. Arrangement for lodging has been completed, so I don't need any help there. However, I would like some recommendations from the locals on which roads to take from Bodega Bay to Monterey. We are planning to start from Bodega Bay on Thursday around 9AM, stopping at Point Reyes, and arriving at Monterey by 8PM. Need info on
1) Good place to stop for lunch north of Golden Gate (Tomales Roadhouse?)
2) Which roads to take south of Golden Gate to avoid traffic. Also, how bad is the traffic near Golden Gate between 2-4PM? Any fun and/or scenic roads?
Thanks!

1) For lunch north of Golden Gate -
Guaymas in Tiburon - http://sanfrancisco.citysearch.com/profile/1045351/
>> Food is ok (not bad) but the margaritas are great!
2) From GG Bridge, take 19th Ave all the way to 280S to Hwy 1 South or stay on 280S to 92 Half Moon Bay exit which will take you to Hwy 1 and is faster.
2-4PM on a Thursday going into the city shouldn't be too bad. You can always check out the live cams on http://www.sfgate.com/liveviews - There almost always is a cam on the GG bridge.
