Thanks for the heads-up, xviper!! I hadn't even considered that. I'm going to go buy some gear oil today.

Of course, I'll have to take it out for a test drive with todd before you come and pick it up!

Sorry, kinda off-topic.

I changed my diff fluid on Sat, and the Tech (I didnt go to Honda) and I almost fainted. The old fluid was completely black and thick, almost like milk shake. He told me to change it one more time after 5K miles and then every 10K miles etc.... Man, the Honda dealership that I normally go didnt suggest me to change it when I was there for the 15K mile service. I cant imagine what the fluid be like when it's at 30K miles.

You have not been the first one to make this "heart stopping" discovery. I think this is another demonstration that most Honda service dept's have absolute no clue about what is best for this car. With my kind of driving, I plan to change out this fluid annually. Your 10K mile interval is a wise thing to do. Also, after any gear swap and the subsequent "break in" period of about 1000 miles, change that fluid again.

Carlson Please tell me where you get your milk shake so I can not go there. Just change it every 2 oil changes. Now you know why I 've been pestering you to do this.
