Go to the southside, its pretty ghetto where the projects are near the rail roads. Shootings left and right.

I have a few cousins who went to Richmond High and the way they talk is sooo depressing. They would sometimes say past tensed words and still add an -ed to it. I would ask them if their teachers would correct them and they said "No."

The public school system But I don't blaim the teachers, most of the kids in poor neighborhoods usually don't put in the effort in school to learn so the teachers have no patience to help.
Oh the irony in this post.

richmond has BEEN eff'd up for years.

i used to spend quite a bit of time out there tho.......

--friend owns a motel over by some BBQ joint. me+a bunch of our other boys used to hang out & play cards on a bunch of nights while our dude night managed. we always had to help him kick out deadbeats/drunks/hookers/etc and broke up some fights too. luckily, no one ever pulled out any heaters back then, but i'm sure it's a different story around there nowadays. we used to have to leave the office door open w/only the screen door/gate closed cuz it got so hot during the summer.....had loads of $$$ piled on the card table too. we were such dumb-a$# kids. lol

--another friend stayed out in Richmond in the decent part near El Sobrante but you still had to roll through the jacked up areas to get there. me+our boys used to go to his place at all hours of the night/day to hang out & work on our cars. we'd hit up Nation's for late-night grub & always saw all kinds of people scrapping down there. no one ever pressed us, but we used to roll pretty deep.

--another friend's gf+her fam used to live in Richmond, and she didn't have a car, so we'd have to drive her home all the time real late.....not a good idea rolling through Richmond w/a bunch of flashy rides, but nothing happened over there either.

--ex's lil cuz moved up from SoCal w/her kid to stay at her bf's fam's house near the Iron Triangle of all places. the few times i went there, i seriously thought i was gonna get rolled up on......house was on a one way, single lane, dead end street that was dark as hell. i'm hella surprised my ride never got even got jacked or messed with while parked out there. all kinds of fools used to jock it when we'd go through.

i don't mean to diss anyone that lives out in Richmond or knows people that do, but that place really is pretty messed up. if it wasn't for Casino San Pablo bringing in folks & paying tax $$$, the city would be even more jacked/in trouble.
