Reputable Mechanic near Petaluma/Santa Rosa?
Just was wondering if any of you could reccomend a Mechanic in the Petaluma, RP, Santa Rosa area. I could drive south too but trying to avoid the City if I can. It's just too much of a hassle to drive out there and stay out there if repairs were needed.
Getting this REALLY annoying sound when I start the car, sounds like a flapping noise. I've been doing research and I think it MAY be my Timing Chain Tensioner (currently at 76K and did my 70K service already). Some people say to just repair it manually but honestly, i'm not all that mechanically inclined and wouldn't want to mess something up so i'd rather buy a new one. I'm no mechanic so i'm not even sure if this is actually what is wrong... i'm just going off the noise i'm hearing.
Here's exactly what I hear when I start my '03 S.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Check out Works Motorsports. They are located at Sonoma Raceway. They deal mostly with EVOs but the owner drives an S2000 and they have an S2000 project car. They did a great job on my car. And if there is a race going on, you can spend the time watching while they work on your car

I've had some work done by Neal (suspension, exhaust, etc) and had a great time hanging out. I have a review buried in that thread somewhere.

Yeah, I tried to call Works today but Yvette the receptionist told me that Pete would call me back. Never heard back from him . . .
I was referred to him by his buddy who bought one of the Works Evo's from him. I'll try again tomorrow.
