Default Replace Soft Top?

Somebody just cut off my roof and try to take away my car couple days ago

While still waiting for my insurance adjuster (Geico), may I ask how much is it to replace the soft top?

I am thinking to get a used hard top and just paint it to match the body color. Do you think it will work?

Thanks...

If you want to get the highest price possible, go to the dealer and ask. I was quoted $4000 last time I went. Thats enough for a hardtop and a good amount of change.

Otherwise if you go to an upholstry shop, they'll probably charge around $2k

insurance= $500 deductible... INCREDIBLY reasonable
although if i was in that spot i'd just claim it as vandalism and spend $100 of deductible to claim it and have the whole thing replaced... why worry about the total price? insurance will take care of it for you

$4000??? For the soft top?? One thing I know is they can't just repair it, they need to replace the entire top.

My car is at the body shop now and they told me that it's up to the adjuster to calculate the quote anyway. Hopefully the adjuster can give me a higher amount

BTW, where do you guys get your hardtop + installation kit?

I know the insurance will cover the rest after deductiable.. but just wondering is it good enough to get a hardtop + installation kit.. those things are not cheap.
