Default Remote Starter?

As posted in other thread, I am going to get an alarm system for my car and it comes with the remote starter.

Question:

I heard it's not a good idea to install remote starter on manual car, is it true? If yes, why?

Anyone have remote starter on your car?

Thanks..

You need to have a device to make sure the car is in neutral or else it shouldn't let it start up. There have been many people who have had their cars run into things (I even saw a picture of one that basically ended up rolling down a hill).

I have remote start in my car and never use it. It's not exactly that cold outside and you shouldn't let your engine idle for too long.
