Default Remote Desktop Help

My problem is this

When I click 'remote desktop connection' my computer pauses but then no longer opens the window to fill in a new remote desktop connection.

I can however open up saved connections and connect.

I've made no changes to my system, aside from windows updates.

Currently on Windows SP2. SP3 screwed up my box and I had to revert back sometime last year.

How do I reinstall or repair this?
Is this is known issue with a different solution?

HELP!
Rob

I'm not too familiar with windows remote desktop but i did install a program called LogMeIn. I just started using it recently and it is great. You might want to give that a try

logme in has some limitations that I cannot work around. Need to use remote desktop.

I would explain, but I'm not a tech guy.

You can try installing a newer version of the RDP client. This came out with XP SP3.

Glad it worked for you. I would have replied sooner, but I was conducting an interview.
