Default Red AP2 crashed on 17-N today

Somebody really screwed up the drive for northbound traffic on the Los Gatos side of Highway 17 this afternoon. Looks like they slid into the center divider, spun a few times, and ended up facing the wrong way up against the center divider. Tow truck was just moving into position when I passed by going the other direction.

Anyone from our forums going to fess up to this?

Was there a turn or onramp nearby? Or did it look like someone was going way too fast? No sign of another car?

I hope the driver is ok; although the wound sounds self inflicted...

Well it was 17, so of course there was a turn nearby. No ramps or crossroads though. There was a skid mark headed straight into the wall. There was one additional car on the shoulder, but it looked untouched so maybe just a good samaritan. CHP were directing traffic. As much as I loathe CHP speed enforcement on 17, I have to acknowledge the balls it takes to work crash scenes on this road.
