Default Recommended body shop near Sunnyvale/MtView?

I'm quite down today... I got into a parking lot fender bender Actually, just a bumper bender. The very corner of my rear bumper is "bumped" in and marked up. I imagine most of the marks will buff off, but inevitably there will be scratches left...And of course, its just bad enough to so that I don't think going through insurance will be worth it with a $1000 deductible...

So anyway, does anyone have a recommended body shop in the Mt. View/Sunnyvale Area? #1 priority is that they do excellent work... Secondary priority is that they don't ream people on prices

Thanks
Mike

I'll be the first of SEVERAL people to tell you to go to Acitve Auto Body in Mtn. View.

http://www.activeautobody.net/

. . . be sure you tell Shaun (the owner) that you were referred by S2ki.com.

. . . in terms of quality, JSAP1's car speaks for itself (his, along with MANY others).

I would have to go with active autobody also.

Shaun did a great job repainting my hardtop from red to silverstone.

Always could get a hold of him and was done in a timely manner.

No complaints.

Thanks.

I would recommend Shawn at Active Autobody.

The only colors that are next to impossible to match (perfectly in all shades of light) is the faded Spa Yellows and Rio Yellows. They are a 3 stage paint thats next to impossible to match.

I only know of one painter that can match any shade of Spa/Rio to the tee. Sad thing is George works in Hawaii. He took 10 hours of mixing and matching and matched my paint perfect in all shades of light, pretty much OEM paint. I couldnt believe it. Shawn comes damn close to it.
Here is a picture of his work.

Hardtop, CF fenders, and front bumper is what Shawn has sprayed. You cant see the front but you can see that it matches.

Thanks guys!

I took it to Shawn at lunch; great guy, he helped me out a ton. We were able to pop the "bump" out and take most of marks right off so I'm not embarrassed to drive it. The costs were less than I expected. Its $820 for a new bumper, painted and installed (and yes, I have Spa Yellow Pearl...) or $650 to just fix the current one. I chose the new bumper
