has anybody bought a house recently? can anybody recommend any good Bay Area mortgage loan agents? someone honest, with up-front fees, no surprises, no bs?
I've got excellent credit. will be looking for an 80/20 ARM, possibly interest only.

I got a loan about 6 months ago with Country Wide Bank in San Jose in the Willow Glen area. My loan agent was A+ because he explained everything to me and my fiance. We were first time buyers too with excellent credit. So the loan went great except when we went price war bidding on a townhouse we liked, we still lost. That was probably the most depression day of my life.
Anyhow, if you need a Realtor, contact Amy Hong @ Intero Real Estate. Her e-mail is amylinhong@hotmail.com
I'm not trying to sell her, but for those who know that are buying/selling, she offers $500 for referrals.
Anyhow, contact Country Wide Bank. They offer good programs for 1st time home buyers, plus they San Jose has several programs for 1st time home buyers. You just need to shop for the right program.
G'luck in the house!

thanks for all the PMs and such... all one has to say is, "I'm lookin to buy a house" and I swear all sorts of lenders just pop up outta nowhere!
so I'm good for now. I'm speaking to a few and seeing what offerings there are n such. thanks for the PMs, emails, etc... sorry if I wasn't able to get back to everyone, but like INSTANTLY I had 5+ PMs, then several emails, phone calls... on top of which my friends at work each have someone they recommend... more emails... it's craaaazy times in the mortgage industry!
