You can always just start e-mailing around. That's what I did. At the time most dealers wouldn't even break MSRP. Maybe cuz I was a du ma cong cac and so was he.

doh.

i would start with whoever pushes the most S'z into NorCAL. So, call up Capitol Honduh and say I want a brand new (no demo miles) 2006 s2000 with the fly by wire, i want <your color goes here>, and i am willing pay 500 BELOW invoice.

I can't tell you what I paid but it was amazing (lease deal - money factor, residual and cap cost were just nuts - in a good way). I'm sure the purchase options are just as good.

Talk to Shawn Haghighi at Marin Honda 415 828 4800

I dropped him a line setting him the challenge, he replied with a deal via e-mail (not many dealers will do that), I accepted. No pressure, no phone calls, no repeated e-mails.

I collected the car next day. They shuttled me to pick up my daily driver (left overnight) the day after.

PM if you want more (but I promised not to share too many details and my credit is 800+ which helps).

If you are willing to make the drive, Blair in Elk Grove is the man. Great guy and very straight forward.

I picked up mine from Hayward Honda for $31,500 w/ hardtop back in '03.

Thanks for the vouches, guys.

I can either do invoice, $31,383 on a brand new S2000, or get you on the lease, $3,800 drive off, $299 a month. The lease is for 12k miles/yr, but I can most likely get you the same price for the 15k/year.

Let me know.

Whatever you do, don't go to Dublin Honda (unless you are good friends with one of the salesmen). They are jerks... When I asked if they were willing to meet San Leandro's deal of $500 over invoice, they laughed at me and basically told me I must be lying.
Holy cow, I just got mine June 9th, suzuka blue at san leandro?!?

I ended up doing the lease deal that Honda is offering for 3600 down 299/mon

I delt with Mohammed Khan. I didn't really have any problems and thought it was a pleasant experience. Later members on the forum told me that I could have negotiated the downpay a little bit. But still at least they weren't rude or anything.

Hehehe actually, I got my Suzuka Blue in July of 2003.

But I agree - SL Honda was very professional and courteous. And I got a good deal, especially for back then.
