Recommend a cheap shop for windshield replacement
I'm located in SF (inner sunset, home to many s2000 owners ). Can anyone recommend a cheap place to get my windshield replaced? Willing to drive 15-20 miles if its worth saving the $$.
Btw, I've never had to replace a windshield before, but what should I even worry about in a cheap low quality replacement? I mean, a cheap/bad door window replacement is a huge pain in the ass, but as long as my windshield sits firmly it should be fine, right..? Suggestions, please!

you usually get what u pay for but there's always some cheaper prices ones that are good quality.
Cheap prices can usually mean a few things, low quality glass which cracks easy, poor quality clarity (waviness, foggy clear) and or low quality preparation.. Cheaper prices can mean cheaper labor, cheaper silicone, and faster service which leads to some PITA later down the road.
Lmk when u find a good deal.. I need mine done also

got mine replaced by Secureway. forgot how much i paid, but it was less than $350. brought my own OEM seals though. they did a great job. have Sage, the lead tech do it. he's done a lot of s2ks.
imo, i wouldn't skimp on a windshield. saving a hundred bucks isn't worth a sloppy install or subpar glass. do it right the first time.

Pm me guys, i have a guy that works on our fleet in the air national guard and he does great work. Takes him about 30 mins to complete. Pretty low prices as well. I'll try to get his info for you guys on Monday if you're interested. He did the work on my rav4 and it's like factory glass.

So, uh... what about if money isn't such a big deal? I have a low deductible on my comprehensive insurance, and have been meaning to get my windshield replaced, too.
Where's the best place to go, regardless of price?
