Discount tire direct can't get star specs. I believe tire rack purchased the right to be the sole distributor of star specs but I could be wrong.

 

Why are they hiding the good stuff

 

My last set of tires were Star Specs...Great tires. Then I went to Hankook RS3 and they were actually better ..and a little cheaper. Got em at Tire Rack for about $600

 

Tire Rack is also offering a rebate on the Dunlop SS.

R-S3 being better than SS is a very subjective term.

 

They must like board games because they're good at monopoly

 

The tires offered with the rebate didn't seem super awesome so I decided to pass on the deal. Thanks for all the help!

The $50 instant rebate was for all tires sold on the website. Then select tires had addiotional rebates on top of that.

 

I haven't selected the tire yet, but just wanted to give you guys a FYI:

The Star Specs are $707.05 total, but there's a $40 rebate on them at the moment.
