Default quick question

A friend of a friend told me that if i took off the factory air box it would sound a lot better so i did and it sounded great. My question is that if i leave it off would it damage anything? Is it safe to just leave the factory airbox off? Also does anyone have theirs off?

meaning just open with no filter? that's what i'm assuming...

please put it back on you don't want to risk your engine inhaling anything

save a couple hundred and buy an intake....or buy a cheapie off ebay for $50 if you can't afford it

im sure are alot of people out there with their airbox covers off. sounds nice..yea. only thing is..it sucks in the warm air from the motor. other then that..you can leave it off if you want..no biggie.
