Default Question for those that have sponsers

A buddy of mine down in LA is looking at a RX7 (besides the point), but it has a Salvage title.

He's not too familiar with sponsorship rules, and is wondering if after he restores it/etc if the salvage title will affect anything. He knows I know most all of you; he was hoping I could pass along that question for him.

If anyone has any info I can pass on, I'd appreciate it.

Nah, the manufactures arent worried about that so much. As long as it looks good enough for people to want to buy overpriced JDM parts made in (insert here) they are not worried about your pink slip tittle.

yeah, in general I suppose.

the car he's lookin at is about half done. he would do a number of other things to it, and then look for sponsorship for various extra things and for shows or whatever

he just was curious if they cared about the title

No there have been plenty of salvage title front page bling bling rides.

It's really common because thats how it happens alot. Someone buys the car, then wrecks the car, and the insurance company hands the owner a nice check and offers to sell the mangled car back to the owner. Then - fat check plus mangled car....well you see where im going.

its who you know, not what you know in this industry.

a sponsor is looking for someone that has a good attitude, good car either racing or show's. also the car has to be going in a good direction.

not just anyone that gets sponsorships. unless you sign up for that free caca freecarsponsorship.com bullshit.

It is extremely important to know people. I mean RIGHT people. This industry is so small almost everyone knows eachothers. It's pretty funny when you realize it.

If your friend is going to get a sponsorship for a show car, may be it doesn't matter but for racing, just make sure that the chassis is straight otherwise it's hard to make it run straight. He might wanna look for sponsorship before he spends anything since there is not really a point once he buys everything.
