Thumbs up Question S2000 Newbie seeks audio install recs

Hi there fellows
I just got me a sweet 2004 suzuki blue s2000 and one thing that plagues the cars is inferior audio system.
I would like to upgrade it but nothing flashy to invite the thieves.
Id like to leave the original head unit in. The previous owner had "premium stereo set" installed at the speakers, which means different side speakers and tweaters and an under-passenger-seat amp which i havent really looked which one yet.

WHat i would like to do is to relocate the amp to the passenger side seat and put a small(6-6.5) sub below the driver seat. Im 6'3" and need all legspace i can get, so nothing can go behind the seat and I would like to avoid the in-trunk enclosures as space there is limited as it is.

Can anyone recommend good shops in the bay area that install below the seat subs and may also attache an aux-in to the oem head unit so that I could hook up my mp3 player?

Thanks in advance

Call my homie Ryan at AC Customz. His number is 510-224-7347. Tell him you were referred by me (Frank). He'll take care of you.

If you are truly 6'3" then you cannot afford any leg room loss as I'm 6'2 and have the same problems.

I ended up with a Bride setup and L/R rails on the driver side to be happy but I saw your post requesting underseat subwoofers?

The only way I can imagine that being done is to have the rear underbody cut and then an enclosure built. There was one member that had this done on his s2000...is that what you have in mind?

We do very custom work but I can tell you installing any subwoofer under the seat is a MAJOR undertaking!

One of the s2kca members has done it and posted pics to prove it

I agree. It would be pretty hard, there is not much space back there. Muggzy and I think itS2Krazy put a sub in his trunk on the right side. It did not take up much room, most of the area taken was the space behind the carpet on the side. You might want to PM them

Another option is the enclosure that takes the place of your spare tool pit.

If you have the stock seats, it is possible to put a small sub under it.

There is also a member that had a group guy at one time for a sub enclosure that went in the side of the trunk. I think Wlarent or something like that.

I've got a couple of ideas for unorthodox enclosure locations like behind one of the front fenders.

Thanks, i was looking at these enclosures, but it says that V1 is designed to fit MOST 8" subs. Is there a list of recommended ones?
How much space does it take up, i cant find measurements on the enclosure other than how much volume it uses up.
Are there shops that might have these in stock or do i have to order them from darkside subs separately?
