Question about alignment and corner balancing...
I am driving down to LA next weekend to get my Mugen coilovers from another user and I had a couple questions.
1) I heard you should drive on the coilovers a couple hundred miles to let the springs settle. Since they are used do I still need to do that? If so, for how long?
2) I am not going to track the car (at least I don't think so) but should I still get the car corner balanced?
3) Where is a good shop to get an alignment and/or corner balancing in the bay (preferably on the penninsula)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2) If you measure everything and assuming the springs are fine you don't need to corner balance or corner jacking as some people call it.
3) Sorry no answer for the alignment but Kens a good guy for the corner balance.
Have fun with your new suspension..

is it necessary to corner balance? yes and no.... mac is right, if everything is fine and you measured everything precisely, 90% your settings are fine.... did a precise measurement on my audi and corner balanced it later after and it's 50/50 cross weight distribution. but thats without the driver which is not the ideal weight distribution coz the car has to have a driver while in motion.
i would write and explaination but this is a good site for corner balancing explanation.
Corner Balancing Explained
it's good for equal distribution when turning left and right
it's good for distributing the stress on your suspension
it's good for tires to lessen uneven tire wear
