oh well, some people just are tightwads &/or jerks. if you're in the service industry, i think the only thing you can do is just shine such people & experiences. it's gonna happen.
and there's nothing wrong w/laughing at your own jokes. that's 1/2 the fun!
but, if you start telling yourself jokes or having frequent conversations alone, then you got problems.

Thank god I'm not a waiter anymore. I'll admit that I got good tips but there were those days/nights where tip sucked. Customers would make a mess, request for hella shiet, and then drink soda like crazy asking for fifty thousand refills. I'll tip if service is good and I'll just leave a dollar if service sucks. sucks meaning poor service and lack of customer service and availability.
