Oh, and the most insulting part about the three cents?
Dude counts out 17 cents, and then takes back and gives me a second dime. "keep the 3 cents."

Actually, now that I think about it, I remember ordering pizza a LONG time ago... and the delivery guy said that he cuoldn't accept my tip because his boss wouldn't let him?

waiting tables, being a delivery person, and all other service jobs are rough work. i never did any of that because i know i wouldn't be able to take all the abuse w/out saying something to a rude customer.
on another note, i don't wanna open another can of worms or anything, but, as a customer, some workers don't seem to realize that tips really are not mandatory (a right). they're gestures that should be given commensurate to the quality of service provided.
bad service = bad tip/no tip
decent service = good tip
i always tip pretty well...always at least the standard 15%, unless i get really poor service. cute+friendly waitresses definitely get extra.
