I hate to be "that guy" but seriously... is this sarcasm?

RPMs should be low in rain driving, right? If not, why?

Well I think that is sarcasm; or more synonymous for 'have fun in the rain'. That said, I prefer to keep the RPM's higher up than normal. May be false science, but I find that the increased power/torque helps keep traction through deeper puddles, where slower wheel rotation and less torque would lead to less adhesion, and a higher chance at 'gliding'. As I said, might be false science.

Sounds like the premise for "Mythbusters: S2000 Edition"!
I also like to keep RPMS in a decent range in the wet.
I find that bogging the engine down, or being in the wrong gear, seems to lead to problems during unpredictable moments.

Keeping the power down (i.e. less rpm and higher gear) usually leads to less problems because your going slower

Oddly enough, and I mean this with all seriousness: I feel safer doing 75 in the rain on the freeway, than doing 65.

You may feel safer, but I think physics would argue otherwise.
