There's more than one light that comes on when there's a VSA issue

Oh yeah, the "VSA" and the "!", right? Do all faults that cause VSA to be disabled also cause ABS to be disabled(will VSA light always be accompanied by brake as well)?

Thanks for your suggestions. The VSA and ! lights do come on during power on check. The VSA light does come on when I switch VSA off. Brake fluid is at the full level.
In the past when I chirped the tires on a 1-2 shift, VSA would cut the gas and the dash lights would blink.

Cool, have you chirped the tires shifting since the burnout? Have you tried burning out again? I'd say if it's working now, forget about it. If you can still reproduce the behavior, it's something worth looking into more.

The reason you cannot "overpower" vsa is that you're dbw which means it's all ecu. It's either working or it's not.

Well played!

It is pretty easy to test again and see if the VSA is working. Test it out again. If it is working normally I wouldn't be concerned. It isn't am after of "overpowering" the VSA, it is a matter of the wheel speed sensors and everything working correctly.
