Default Possible to over power VSA?

It seems that my VSA does not take effect like it used to. I recently performed an unintentional massive burn out when spritely pulling away from a curb side parking space. Rear wheels spinning; back end starting to go sideways. It was fun, so I kept my foot in it a little longer and let the wheels spin. No flashing yellow lights on the dash board. Then it occurred to me that the on board nanny should have cut the gas and maybe applied some brakes. Is it possible to overpower VSA, or has my VSA failed?

Did you accidentally turn VSA off?

If your VSA has failed you will get a VSA light on your dashboard to let you know there is a problem with it. It sounds like you turned off VSA, and dumped the clutch.

I don't think there is such a thing as an "unintentional massive burnout" in an S2000.

Allow me to clear up what happened here:

OP dumped clutch, CDV kicked in, clutch slipped in a massive cloud of acrid smoke, OP thought he was "burning out." VSA never had to kick in because he never broke traction at the wheels.

OK folks, it doesn't make sense, that's why I posted my question. VSA was not turned off. I have an AP1 FW and slave cylinder, no cdv, Blacktrax street clutch.
Cheers...

Don't you just love it when everyone who responds to your thread thinks they're Don Rickles? Does your VSA light come on when you put the key in the ignition to the on position? It's not the most likely thing, but it is possible that there is a problem causing VSA to be disabled, but the light is burned out/not functioning so you don't know. Is your brake fluid topped up?
