Hey I think we need another meeting spot for North Bay/East Bay people who wants to avoid a bridge toll. Anyone know a good place to meet? Or people just wait for them at the Bear Valley visitor center?

Well if you're trying to please both East and North bay people your gonna run into a problem. Because one of them has to cross.

Unless of course you wanna have everyone meet up in San Jose and have the East bay people go around the bay while North bay folks wait patiently in Marin.

I am not very familiar with the toll situation up there. I was thinking only the bridges that goes to SF have toll. If there are no toll between North Bay and East Bay, then maybe they can meet somewhere that is convenience for both of them. If there is a toll between them, then I guess East Bay people can join us in SF, North Bay people can caravan and meet us at Bear Valley Visitor Center.

Anyway you look at there is a toll.

East bay>North Bay-San Rafael/Richmond Bridge toll

East Bay> Peninsula-Bay Bridge, San Mateo Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge toll

North Bay>Peninsula-Golden Gate Bridge toll ($5)

The only time there is no toll is when you leave S.F.

I guess the bridge from East Bay to North Bay is cheaper than the bridges to SF?

Yee Man, I thought you disappeared from the face of the earth. Welcome back.

The Richmond-San Rafael bridge costs $2 if I remember correctly (northbound only). That's the one I use to get to Sears Point. $2 is not too bad.

Hey Gilbert, long time no see. You are now back to BA also?

I just looked at the map. It seems to me East Bay people should take the 580 bridge and then when they are on the Marin side, then exit at St Francis Drake Blvd (This will be the road everyone takes to get to the Bear Valley Visitor Center). Does anyone know any big parking lot on St Francis Drake near 101? Maybe SF/South Bay people can join up with other people in this big parking lot?

Nope. I'm still in Pittsburgh, PA. I should be back at the end of July. I'm still looking for a job and finishing my research.

Shoot!

I'm out of town all three of those weekends; I would have loved to have joined you guys...Pt. Reyes is right in my backyard. If you're taking Lucas Valley Road off 101 North to get to Bear Valley, you'll be passing by my house on the way.

It's a beautiful drive.
