thanks! i've watched some youtube videos on dipyourcar.com's youtube page since dipping my emblems, and picked up some GREAT tips and techniques. i think i'll redo them this weekend. if i can find some jackstands or cinder blocks , i may do my wheels.

I don't understand why people don't just pull off the emblems before painting them? Aren't they just clipped on?

Plasti dip is so weird that it clngs perfectly to the badge. All the overspray clings to itself and seems to independently cling to the body and the badge, allowing you to very easily peel off the overspray leaving the badge perfectly covered. It would probably take the same time to remove, spray, then reinstall compared to spray then peel.

I think the novelty factor of being able to spray then peel is why most don't remove the badge. All you need to do is get a corner started with a toothpick and you can easily peel insides of the badge.

That actually looks pretty legit. I'm rocking an RYP-painted AP1 rear bumper but RYP is an infamously royal pain in the ass to color-match, so needless to say mine is noticeably a shade darker under certain lighting conditions. Still have the stock, pristine OEM bumper sitting in my garage, been contemplating swapping them back but I like the look of the black valance...this should do the trick. Thanks for the inspiration!

So I'm not the only fan of this stuff. I'm always finding new things to spray.

I'm debating a set of wheels in gun metal.
