"Holy crap!" Not really... There was a GT2 there that normally runs 2min flat with the owner driving it, he says its capable of 1:55s. Now THAT is "Holy crap" Unfortunately we didnt get a chance to see a 2min flat lap that day as he was having problems with the car. I would have so liked to try and keep up with that.

Doug, Rylan, and Josh were smoking too, I'm thinking 2:10's or better for all three. Best I could muster was a bunch of 2:18.x's AFTER I took Dave's advice to use the brakes a little more... Jay, Keith, and I were passing cars left and right in the Intermediate group. A very strong showing by the S2000's for sure.
Backwards through turn 6 was a new experience...

Really... the one time I went with my Celica, there was a Lotus racecar and he was doing between 1:55 and 2:00's. Another buddy of mine races motorcycles at TH and his runs are generally in the 2:05s.
Running backwards must've been fun... you're right about turn 6, going forward thru turn 5 is already pretty hair raising.

we didn't run it backwards, he just went backwards thru the turn
gil - yes i did get a haircut
I think I was the only NA car under 2:10 until the sun came out and doug's hoosiers got some grip, then he beat me in the afternoon with a 2:08.0x. My best was a 2:08.61 (best time ever at thunderhill), and in the time trial after lunch I was 4th with a 2:09.92, also the fastest NA car
dave did a great job of laying down the smack to some REALLY high powered cars with good drivers. 2nd and 3rd in the trials were a mustang cobra and a 300z TT pushing over 400hp.

Hope to see you all soon at the next one (including Keith's bumper in my rearview).
