i also only shoot RAW. the degree of control it gives you is unsurpassed by any other format (as far as i know of). Rick, if you want some tips on how to shoot better pictures, im holding a workshop towards the end of the month where some friends of mine get together and help each other out. youre welcome to join us, as well as anyone else who may be interested. im bringing a projector and laptop and will be giving a brief demonstration on how to tweak the RAW images before exporting to photoshop. im not the best at this stuff but i do know the basics. let me know and ill PM you the details.

I think I'll just set it for high JPG for now as my editing skills are not that great since I'm not sure what needs to be done. I'm shooting at LOW resolution right now so the images that I post don't need much work.
Do you just resize the image to a smaller size when you shoot at high JPG?
I'm trying to pick up that used 17-40 L lense right now so then at least I have two lenses to practice with.
