Default painting emblems

Thinking of taking my emblems and painting them. I read around and found out the H emblems had two holes that help it align when i put back in. As for the side fenders, i read around it was just glued. I got a suggestion for double-sided tape, would that keep the emblem on? i'm just afraid the tape might give out due to rain or something. I was thinking wipe down the leftover adhesive, which i'm hoping will still have the outline of the s2000 emblem and just re-align it with fresh glue to stick it back on.

anyone ever do this yet, i did read around, but only found a couple on the east coast who did it, no one in the bay.

for re-aligning the side emblems, you can take a piece of painter's tape, and have an edge of it just touch the emblems along the top, sides, and the bottom...have it go a distance away from the emblems.....

tear out the section near the emblems, since you'd be cleaning up the glue area and all

remove emblems...

clean up area

once dry, take two more pieces of painters tape, and stretch them out, lining them up over the pieces left from before emblem removal.

they should mark where the emblems were...

just an idea... PM if you need further clarification.

or you can just buy some CR side emblems that are already black and just paint the front and back.

hmm...wonder why that is.
Hardtopguy looks like he has the same black emblem included in the kit too. But he's got it advertised in the 04-08 category. anyone know anything about this? I wanna know before making such a big purchase. Maybe the pieces are universal?

didn't realize it was such shit material, thought it was metal. How the hell does Honda rob people of $35 for something so cheaply made....ridiculous.
