Oscar Dela Hoya vs Manny Pacquiao

it was an humiliate lost for dlh. there's no excuse for it. keep in mind that dlh was 2-1 favorite. i am a fan of both fighters, but i think dlh should retire permanently after last night performance, and change his name to give-up boy.
manny keeping me interested in watching boxing. otherwise, mma ftw.

R u kidding me, i saw the whole fight, and yeah dlh fought like he did in the past, (a true thinker on his feet) the problem was, he was thinking about the fifty mil he would be pocketing just from stepping in the ring.... Let alone the expected 200 mill his production company (golden boy productions) would bring in.... All i saw in his eyes was $.$ and for this i hve lost all respect for the great .... Many should have knocked his ass out FTW!!!!!!!

Nobody noticed?...
Dela Hoya threw in the towel before Round 9 (not Round 8)!
DLH has definitely reached the inevitable in a boxer's career. I've been a big fan of him and boxing in general. He has fought the biggest names - he won some and lost some in close decisions except for the Hopkins fight, and this is why his fights have the biggest purses.
Have to root for Manny, though. He's a gifted fighter who improved tremendously with Freddie Roach's help. Their strategy and Manny's speed just made it a one-sided fight. And heck, I'm Pinoy, too!
What I found very strange in the fight is that DLH weighed in at 145lbs and was only 147lbs on fight night. I was expecting a lot more since he has been fighting way over 147 in the last 7 years.
Pacman-Mayweather is what I'd wish for but Pacman-Hatton seems more likely. Either one would be a good match.

Nothing dirty about DLH. He's a very good promoter, but his time as a boxer is ending. I'm sure he'll probably rake in more money as a promoter than he has as a boxer since he already has some big name fighters and about to get into MMA.
