Default Is online traffic school still an option?

I just got my package of traffic school information from the court and it lists all the wonderful traffic schools I can go to- but doesn't list any of the online ones. My friend took one course and said it was great, but I heard there might have been legislation passed against them- anyone know if this is true? Can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks for the help!

Last I heard was that Santa Clara County is the only one that doesn't allow online traffic school. SCC pulls in too much money I guess.

I got a ticket last year in San Mateo county and did the traffic school thing...at work.

why would anyone want to do the online test!?

The online Traffic School requires that you actually pay attention and answer questions correctly.

I would much rather **** off in the back of a class room for 8 hours than actually have to read something and pay attention.

IMO of course.

Hehe, actually you don't really need to pay attention. What happens is that you read through the online manuals and then take the quiz.

I just printed out the whole thing and jumped straight to the test with about 45 questions. All the questions were in order with the manual so all I had to do was look for the answers on the page.

The whole online traffic school took me about 45 mins total time. Plus I was at work when I took it so I got paid for it

Much much better than being cooped up in a room for 8 hours and wasting a whole Saturday.

Here's the one that I did: http://www.onlinetrafficschool.com/

Enjoy!

I just got a ticket in Sutter county, and they don't accept on-line traffic schools, but had no problem with a "study-at-home" program. Bascially, it was a book and a 25 question test.

You fill out the test, and mail in the results. If you get 70% or better, you pass, and they notify the court. If you fail, they send you another test and you can try again.

Most questions were pretty easy, but some were specific to the book, so you actually had to read it to find the answers. In the end I had to read most of the book, and it took about and hour or so.

Ask your court if there is a study-at-home or on-line option available. I'm pretty sure most counties have some option available.

D**N. I just checked and they aren't approved in Alameda yet. And I need to do this. Anything beats wasting 8 hours in a classroom -- I could spend it putting Zaino on my car or something!

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been on here in a while. I live in Santa Cruz county and used ticketerasers.com about a year ago and it was great. If you go to their web site they will list the counties that approve their use.
