I just had to talk to others after awhile, you just talk to people. ask them about their cars. noone will ignore you at the meets. its like dating a girl. you don't expect the girl to come to you. you have to break the ice.

Mac88-aroni always has a way with words, truly unique and admirable. Yesterday was quite entertaining. I'm a noob who admits his only excitement is hanging with people with similar taste, but not just in s2000 alone. This is like a socializing event where you meet new people everyday-- I know I do. And thanks to all the people who responded to my noobie questions. I'm still trying to remember names (perhaps wear namecards next time?)

If this is a class, "i'm present, how are you doing?" then whose the onegai?

The way he presented himself in the thread just shows what kind of a person he is. Lacks major social skills, incompetent, stereotypical, scared, and most of all a baby. If he feels this way about a car group, he must have a hard time through the real world. By stating that everyone is a "snob" or "ivy league" just labels himself as someone with some insecurities. Maybe cause I've never had a problem meeting and getting to know people but he was wrong for assuming s2k bay area members are snobs.

Hope I find the time one day to get out and make it to one of your guys meets

Can we blame Vu for the one time someone is unhappy cuz he wasn't present? hmm. Snob is a wrong way to group someone with common interests. If the guy likes s2k, who doesn't, then well look around and ask more questions on the topic since he's planning to buy one.
