Tioga Pass is slated to open on May 11, thats another great drive for pic's. Its best to do this drive on a weekday, a lot less traffic.

That looks awesome. Too bad it's a bit of a stretch for me to go up there. What camera did you use? Great photos of the route/bike.

I have very much wanted to do Highway 36 from the coast to Lassen Volcanic. Definitely on my road trip and National Park list.

Tioga is a very nice drive, too, but only for the scenery and not for the road itself. Too many tourists to enjoy the road for anything other than the beauty. We did an Ebbets Pass/Mono Lake/Tioga loop one year and it was great.

This is a fun two day drive
Day 1 you want to get to Red Bluff at around 8am get some food and gas up. Run 36/299 and stay the night in Red Bluff. Wildwood Rd. is a fun drive off of Hwy 3 before you get to Hayfork but it does have some ruff spots

Day two is a little slower because of Lassen NP but you will/can still have fun once you get out of the park. La Porte Rd. out of Quincy is very fun when the ice is gone. Its not good smooth pavement but damn its fun. Bucks Lake Rd. has much better pavement but not as much fun as La Porte Rd.
