My deepest sympathies for you and your S. Happened to me last semester at SJSU.

I hate how people go out of their way to find your car and willingly damage it, jeez whats goin on in those guys heads?

Rates will not go up directly especially if it's filed as a comprehensive loss (which it will) unless they can prove that you didn't take a necessary precaution... like parking it on the edge of a cliff on loose dirt or something, and even then it probably won't. Now I say directly because if your area has been filing a lot of vandalism claims, collectively it may make ur area a high risk area, or if your car constantly gets vandalized, then they may put you on high risk, but even that is unlikely because that's more for the folks who are committing fraud but the insurance company can't prove it.
All things considered, your rates will not go up. S2000s already have a high rate because they're stolen and vandalized so much; compare rates with a 350Z or M3 and you'll see what I mean.
