Its a jack point on the S2000 I think. There is nothing wrong with lifting the car from the diff. The funny thing is the exhaust wouldn't changing the flow of the exhaust make the ECU recalibrate every time you do it?

I know some porches have this functionality but they come stock and most likely the ECU compinsates every time the exhaust flow increases/decreases.

 

i think in one of my installs for something, someone actually recommended jacking it from diff as long as you use wooden block between diff and jack.

I think the owners manual actually does list the rear dif as a jack point. Thats the way ive always jacked up the rear.

 

i'm pretty sure the manual show's a pic of the rear jack point as the diff. i've done it plenty of times.

I'm not sure about the manual showing that but I've seen it done before on S2000's...but I wouldn't do it...or a M-Tree nonetheless.
