I don't really understand what was/is so funny.
So he put on an aftermarket exhaust system and had never done it before...

What am I missing?

There's nothing wrong with that. I jack up my car by the engine block. That's the only way to do it on my car.

Wait, are we laffing cuz of jacking up the car via the diff or...? Not understanding

I jack up cars everyday using the diff, whether it be a front diff or a rear diff. That is actually my preferred jacking point...

Being an S2000 site, the S2000 diff is actually listed in the shop manual as a lifting point.

To clarify what Terrance914 is saying, he says BLOCK. Kids, make sure you don't confuse that with OIL PAN.

I use a Chinook helicopter and grab it by the stock safety hoops behind the seat when I need to do an underside clean or oil change.
