Default Odd phone number

Have you guys ever gotten a call from a phone number that is not typical such as the area code and the 7 digit number? I got one and the number is just "3000" at about 4:00 AM and 4:05 AM idk what it is. I'm just wondering if any of you have gotten a call from such odd telephone numbers.

It's just someone messing with you. For example, when it was 6/6/06 I remember getting a call from "666"
Correct me if I'm wrong but there is way to change your number when you call somebody else, I forget the process.

You can't change your number dialing someone back, but you can certainly block it by dialing *67 then dialing area code and number. I put my number in the do no register list and never had any spam phone calls

There are fake caller ID programs that you can use when calling others, what ever the number you want them to see it, you will see that number on your phone.

I can use that program (even iPhone Cydia has that app) and say that show my number as "5" you will see that "5" is calling you

Its just masked; could be a number of things such as external phone masks specified with the carrier or a fax line, international number, etc.

It was a prank call, especially at 4AM somebody wanted to mess with you lol. Forgot what the program was called but its been around for a while now too, I had somebody do that to me continuously a few years ago until I found out who it was

It wasn't a prank call it was a scam call from a robo dialer. I just got it today, twice. They'll call about a security breach on your unemployment benefits debit card for Bank of America and want you to give them bank info.
