Default OBX exhaust?

alright so my manager that i work with, had a red s with front CF fenders, CF side mirrors, ferrari badges, and an OBX exhaust...

the other day i asked him about the exhaust and he said it was illegal(?)
have you guys ever heard of an OBX exhaust?! it's a single and it seems like a pretty reasonable size..
he sold it to my other co-worker and apparently he has no clue / info about the car -_- idiot.

Ferrari badges?

Also, no offense, but are you really going to listen to a car guy who put Ferrari badge on his RED S2000? You be better off doing your own research just MHO

An exhaust is only illegal if it over the 95-decibel standard under the Society of Automotive Engineers J1169 test procedure.

An exhaust does not require CARB #. It's not an emissions control device.

Motorcycles are different though because their catalytic converter is inside the portion of the muffler system. Where as the car's is separate from the muffler portion... it is it's own entity.

I was curious though as I have seen automotive muffler's with a CARB number before? At least I think I have... maybe it was Ebay BS or something.
