What else do you want to know? Most of the information is on Hondata's site. All it is is a reflash of the ECU. if you have an 06 it is a definate To-Do mod IMO. I know Blacktrax is a good pick, Jeff and I know the ppl over there, great work and very dependable.

i guess the statement on the site is 20-30hp at certain rpm range but i don't see it on the graph.....i would be doing the essentials. intake headers, exhaust test pipe

ECU tune basically refine the other tunings (intake, header, exhaust). Without ECU tune it won't get the full potential of those tunings.

Amuse has similar setup (Mugen intake, Amuse header, Amuse exhaust, and Hi-Tech Rom) and gained about 30hp. So it is possible to gain that much with hp with that set up.

TODA header is really good quality header and price isn't too high. ASM's header is made by TODA also.

Yes, with a tune you can refine timing, a/f, even play with the knock sensor (more so with turbo applications) The graph does show that much hp gain, but its all midrange and not peak at 8k. You can see they moved the vtec engagement to 4300 and that huge gap is nothing but huge gains. I garentee this will be WAY more useable power and much much more than you will ever get with just i/h/e. You see the gains between 4300 and 6000 mostly. Don't look at thath litle bubble lightly, that is a huge gain for N/A and would make the car much more fun to drive around town.

u dont think adding a vafc and lowering vtec to that same point and play with the fuel settings on it , wont it make almost make the same power?

when i had my 00, my tuner was playing around and lowered it to 3500 and i gained 16hp on the dyno without adjusting fuel or timing.

i guess only difference is something to do witht he knock sensor which i dont remember reading anywhere.

No, Hondata has many more features and a much higher resolution, overall it gives the tuner way more to tinker with than just vtec engagemen and a/f.

What they do with knock sensativity is turn it down in certain area's so they can change timing more, and turn it up in other places where knock is more prone to occur. But this is something you worry about much more with FI applications than N/A.
