Hi guys, Metro NYC S2k "brother" here. I am planning on a honeymoon in California as me and my wife are really looking forward to PCH, Napa, the Red Woods, Yosemite, etc. My one question though is, where would I be best off in terms of finding a central location (hotel)? Would San Francisco (Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf) be a good bet? I don't mind driving a few hours to get to each area. BTW we are currently trying to decide between Cali and US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas). ANY help/cool suggestions you can throw my way would be much appreciated.

I would defintely consider moving around a bit so that you can get as much covered in your trip as possible, and yet get enough time to be romantic and settled into each place. Not sure how many days you are planning, but if you are looking at a week, try two places, one IN San Francisco, and maybe one in Napa or Monterey. Give us more details, and I am sure we locals can help you out a bit.

You Guys are GREAT!!! Thank you VERY much for your recommendations. I think we are pretty much set for California (neither of us have ever been there and I've been dreaming of renting a convertible there and driving up and down PCH ) We are planning to arrive on Sunday, May 31st and will stay until June 7. So I think we should have a good amount of time to see the sights and have some fun The definite sights on our "things to see" are the Redwood Forest, Napa Valley Wine Tour, Fisherman's Wharf, PCH, Shasta/Yosemite.
You guys have already been of GREAT help...so keep it coming if you have any additional tips for us. We'd be much obliged!

A honeymoon eh
Well from my personal experience this is one of the best places to stay in SF. Nice
If you decide to go, stay in the Mandarin King rooms or better. The view is one of the best in the city. A bit pricey, but sooo worth it.
Congratulations
Man I wish I could go back with my ex
