Hey Yee man,

I am still debating if I should go since I am still breaking in the car. I only have 300 miles on the car and I want to take it easy till it hits 600. I am sure eventhough its a "novice" group drive that we'll (or more like I'll) be tempted to test the cars ability.

I'll probably make it but not really sure...

Larry, how many miles do you have now? Yahoo says there are 41.5 miles Oakley and the Greek Church. I recommend that you drive up to 450 miles before Saturday, e.g. plan a long trip on Friday nite.

Once you hit 500 miles, VTEC! VTEC! VTEC! Hmm.. It is really a torture to break-in... I VTEC'd when it was 500. There are not much difference between 500 'n' 600 I wish.

There are threads in s2ki that discuss about VTEC before 600. It seems to me people who did that are still fine and they don't regret a bit. However, it is your car though, so you decide for yourself.

I believe there won't be much chance for VTEC though. VTEC is best for freeway entrance or stop-and-go traffic with 40-50 speed limit. Our route is on mountain roads, you don't stop that much. Plus, our fellow novice drivers should wait for you.

Is the greek orthodox church next door to the Mormon temple (with the huge white spiers and stuff)?

I am thinking of participating, but I dont' know any of you.

I don't know anyone of you either.
Well..not really, I met What The in the lunch last time....
Everything has a beginning. Probably now it is time for you to meet some fellow stook owners.
Anyway, you can bring a passenger with you if you think you might be bored...

Ok. We now have Ina according to what he/she posted in another thread. (5+2 maybes now)
Psicho, CRussell and NoFe2O3 showed interest, too. IMHO, a group of about 10 stooks is a pretty decent size for group drive.

Yee man,

I am definitely going this Saturday. I will be coming from the Oakley/Brentwood area so if any one wants to caravan from the Contra Costa area just let me know. Later...
