I might go, not sure yet if I can get up and meet you guys. How would I get to the meeting spot from the East bay? Like Berkeley/Emeryville/oakland area?

1) Lots of fun
2) Pushed the s2k a little harder - learned a lot
3) Tested my new Toyo T1-S Proxes with 18" Racing Hart C5s - very sticky! Felt as good or even a little tighter than stock - less sidewall roll with the tires?
4) Impressed the chick sitting shotgun
5) Nobody got hurt - a couple close calls though!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for everyone who showed up.
We had nine S2000s, one 911, one SLK32 AMG.
I hope you all have fun. I was having fun until there was a CHP tailing me....

It was quite saddening to see the crash scene at highway 9...
It just showed us how fragile we all are....

BTW, I think it might be beneficial if we give a short lecture to people who is a true novice driver in every group drive. Someone can teach some basic driving techniques/precautions like:

a) brake/accelerate at straight line, don't (or avoid) brake/accelerate when at turns
b) turn at a radius that is as large as possible
c) drive safely, it is not a race

That should probably take at most 10 mins. I think it will worth it if any potential accidents are avoided.

See you guys in the next drive!

Yee Man

PS I drove that Page Mill and Alpine down to highway 1. I think the road itself is more challenging than the route we took toay. The rain and fog in the morning just made it worse... I think I start understand why Yahoo suggested me to go to SF first and the come down.... Hmmm... Maybe a good route for a future dirve?
