Okay. Now it is time to plan for the next group drive.

Things need to be decided:

Meeting Time: 10am (10am sounds good to me, not too late and after the drive we can have lunch)

Meeting Date: 9/8 (Sat)

Route:
1) start at Skyline/Pinehurst but we go northbound this time (around Wildcat Canyon Park)
2) Go to South Bay and try out the Skyline/Page Mill in Palo Alto
3) King's Mountain Rd/Skyline
4) Other suggestions?

Lead: any true novice driver wants to lead the drive? (I think I am still a novice. I was placed 171 out of 174 in the last SCCA autox...)

It will be great if we can find some stopping points on our route. I think taking pictures of S2000s in the mountain will be neat.

King's Mountain Road is off of Woodside and pretty nice (a little narrow and short, but fun).

haha...well...you could look at it that way.

Seriously though, I don't speed on the straights too much, I just never slow down in turns.

Suggestions:

The last drive was fantastic. Here's some thoughts:

1. We should definitely avoid congested areas as heavy traffic wreaks havoc on a long line of cars trying to follow one another.

2. I've only been to one drive so far and don't know what the protocol is when following. For instance what happens when a group gets separated by a stop light, etc.?

3. We should all definitely have two way radios on us (beg, borrow, or steal, preferably the least incriminating route)

4. We should all have a map.

5. We should have some designated stop points to re-group (especially if its going to be along drive).

6. Set a place for lunch (and maybe dinner, nothing beats a sunset drive, we can destroy night time traffic with our combines 10 gazillion watts of HID lighting!)

7. The Greek Orthodox Church parking lot was awesome, but I am afraid of trespassing on private property, especially after the Taco Bell owner pulled his clipboard out on us

So Yee Man, are you the organizer extrodinaire again? Let me know if you need help.
