Yeah, hanging out with Kurt Busch and Ryan Neuman was pretty cool, both just regular guys like us that love to race. Got to sit in Ryans car which was an unexpected treat.
Kurts car chief came out Saturday and helped us tune the midget at Altamont Raceway for our race this weekend.

In case anyone was interested. We qualified 2nd .057 off the pole. Went to our heat race, had the wrong stagger in the tires, car handles like shit and didn't make our transfer spot, so we had to start in the back of the race. 14 cars. Within the 1st 10 laps we were already up to 6th or 7th. Someone got into us, and spun the car out around lap 15. Went to the back of the field. Took the green flag and started going through the field on a mission. We obviously had the fastest car and the car war set up just right to where we could go anywhere the driver wanted to put the car.
A little history for Altamont, It's always been a 1 grove race track.
We had the car set up to where were able to go high as well. Need less to say after about 4 other cautions for other various reasons we were sitting in 5th again with 3 laps to go. On the last lap, turn 3, 2nd 3rd and 4th decided they wanted the same piece of race track and all got tangled up. Our driver had the where-with-all to dive below all of them and finished 2nd. So overall not a bad showing. Next race is the 19th of July, Altamont Speedway. National Anthem at 3pm.

The article mentions Stockton 99 Speedway.....I admit I been there once. A very ghetto track. Quarter mile ovals are too small. I got dizzy watching it.
