Here are some of my thoughts

1.) Socal pepole get more big sponsorships
I think one difference is that since most of aftermarket parts and tire manufacturers are based down in LA there are more chance for them to get those sponsorships which help them a lot to modify their cars. Even in a race world sponsorship is the most important thing than any other factors to run the team.

2.) Japan > USA, West coast > East coast, socal = nocal
Personally I don't think there is much difference in modding. All of the parts they have on their cars are from Japan. I rather see the difference in Japan >>> USA. Some famous tuners that I know even tell me that they hardly see any interesting car parts in SEMA or other shows in USA when they come to visit (eventhough most of them are JDM companies).

IMO I would like to see more of tunings that are related to driving than looks. D1GP and Time Attack are the recent trend in Japan still. Since we have those events in USA now it would be a good time to get the name out through those events.

 

finally the jdm spoke the truth...i have the same feelings as well...time attack is definatley in my sights...put your money up or shutup

Im still in the process of modded the S, but im just too dam busy with other things in life. Parts cost way too much(sometimes) at this time.... but i want a SC now after rick and others...soooo sweeeet!

true we are a different scene and like to just CHILL, a great part of bay area s2ki, it was never a quest to change but to improve our image..

so take care of home and then come out & play with your bay area s2ki friends here in the bay or where ever we may go to REPRESENT our style..........................................
