my brother went at 5am in the morning. to get on the list. they said only 16 were allowed to be preordered this morning as the first run.
I hate how game companys do that. just mass produce the damn console right away. so everyone can buy it.

they dont do that so they limit liabilites if the initial consoles are defective in some way and they have to recall...
so they increase demand by having a limited supply...
so they can maintain the high prices even though supposedly, they are already losing $400-500 per console...
theres no games readily out yet for the ps3... ppl would complain about the lack of games...
the systems not really ready yet but they wanted to sell something before Christmas and because the system is already behind schedule as is...
theres prolly a lot more reasons...
