Just ignore the negative comments. Sometime we all jump to conclusions that are wrong and should just acknowledge it and move on. As we mature, we will all realize that. Let it go and move on.
You sound pretty damn "all-together" and sound like you are making the right call for yourself. I agree that school is a good thing to finish, especially the way society and business is moving.
As for parking in the street... The car can wait if it has to be parked out on the street (although I'd tell your bro to move the Lude outside, or move the Si if I had to pick one to go outside) Good luck.
