I agree with armmand. but its just every few months we get new recruits that wanna hang, and want to do stuff. some longer members who have been there and done that..may not wanna come out in the rain..dam weather.... southbay does have a big following. im just tryin to attract everyone else who feels left out.. from eastbay, northbay.

i'm still a tiny bit confused with all these weekly meets happening. why not keep the east bay meet spot in fremont or dublin or something, south bay in milpitas/santa clara/cupertino, and north bay in milbrae? am i missing something here?
if it's a weekly thing, have the separate meets, then have the occasional 1 large meet every month/month and half at a central location with a drive/bbq/etc. i hope i'm not the only one confused by all these meet threads flying around....

If you keep changing the meeting times and places, there will not only be confusion, but also burnout from randomness.
. . . maybe it's time for me to actually write my how-to on how to arrange stuff.
Generally, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

One of the variables that enthusiast enjoy is having a local, consistent, well established place to meet and hang out. A no brainer place to go and kick it on Thursday nights, without having to think about where to go and how to get there... After all its a work night and there is always Friday nights and the weekends to meet and explore different places... One can sleep-in the next day and recover from what ever...
People do get burned out having to drive to Timbukdu and back... IMO, the turnouts will not be as good... We had 10 to 15 cars on a rainy Thursday night at the Starbucks on Lawrence and El Camino... The weather didn't keep Ss from coming out cause they new where to go and what to expect... Any way that is my two bits, for what ever its worth.
My sugestion: There can be two locations for every area where to meet and the locations can be alternated. One week at location 1 and the next week at location 2 with both locations staying the same... Than you have the weekend gigs, drives, etc...
Like da man said "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Getting my S2K on friday so I'll probably join you guys too =D.
I voted for Fremont since thats one of the closest to Oakland besides Alameda (I got to Alameda too much already).
I'm Okay with Alameda too,but the cops are strict over there and pull you over even if you do like 5 over the limit (which is 25).
