Hey guys, I haven't introduced myself to the Bay Area section yet. Better late than never, I suppose!
I'm a mechanical engineer and a diehard gearhead. I live on the peninsula but commute to Petaluma, so I'm trying to keep the S from racking up a million miles on just commute driving.
I'm alsoobsessed with into S30 Z-cars, with a stripped 240Z in my garage and a '74 260Z as a runner. I'll drop a couple Z pics in, if you guys don't mind.

At Santana Cars & Coffee (white 240Z isn't mine)

After years of lust and desire, the planets have finally aligned.
During the first week of February 2012, I bought a 2004 S2000 draped in Silverstone. The experience has been surreal, I'm still trying to wake up! The maintenance has been easy, gas mileage surprisingly good and performance is fun as hell, even on hard-compound all-seasons. I just splurged and got an OEM hardtop (among other things), and it's been really nice for that extra headroom, noise reduction and I really love the way it looks.
For years I dreamed of owning an S2000 with a hardtop and it's been pure nirvana since. The S2000 really feels like a modern incarnation of the first-generation Z-car, a lithe yet robust "no-frills" sports car with a timeless design that was ahead of its time. Honda did an absolutely fantastic job with this one.
Okay, now that I've preached to the choir, here's a shot of the car the day after I got the hardtop:
