Default New Daily & Selling The S2000 :(

Some of you may know that I've picked up an is300 in lieu of the s2000

I just want to share my thoughts and feelings if anyone is considering selling theirs/ looking for something more/bigger (And is in my age range 20-25) Because I know all you older guys already know what I'm talking about..

I chose the is300 because I wanted a 4 door supra. I want to do an aristo swap. I want to hit 600hp. And most importantly, I wanted the room. So this car was the best fit for me. A little touch of Lexus luxury, and I was sold. It's definitely better than buying a supra IMO... And it's better to have as a daily driver than the s2000. There are no arguments, you can do it with both, but comfort is sacrificed for performance.
I thought getting into a sedan meant huge body roll, terrible handling, and an all around lousy experience when compared to the Honda. And sure, there are differences.

What I've had the pleasure of doing is garaging the s2k while I've been driving the IS300 (because the s2k hasn't sold yet) and that I think is the best thing I've done all year. Putting the s2000 as a second car is probably the smartest thing you can do. You will enjoy the hell out of it. I took it out yesterday, top down, blasted through my neighborhood (at 35mph, of course) and listened to that J's pipe scream. It is such a fantastic car, especially in stock form. I can only imagine what it would be like on juice.. Except that's where I didn't want to take the car. I didn't want to deal with snap oversteer anymore. I didn't want to deal with short gearing on high PSI, and more importantly I didn't want to deal with the tightness of the car as my daily. For now.. I will enjoy it as it is my second car until it sells, and damn it's so much fun.. There is nothing that beats the top down + performance in this car. It's a pure joy ride.. I think the only car that's going to keep me from getting in another is going to be the FD...

Even then I still might have to pick up another..

my roommate back in college had one of these, poor mpg and there is no backseat pretty much lol

but i must agree, after DD'ing the s2000 for the past 6years, i got tired of it and picked up a GTI MKV as a daily, fun little turbo car.

I "daily" my s2000, on weekends. If I didn't walk to work, I would enjoy driving it daily, as I have in the past. I go to Costco/Ikea in it, with a passenger, with half my trunk space devoted to a stereo, rarely an issue.

you take for granted what you have with the s2000. It surprises me how well the car handles and drinves, whenever i jump back in the car on the wkends, after driving 40miles to work each day during the wk in my daily

My brother has a yellow IS300 for many years - great car, he bought it new off dealer lot and it was a rare manual too.

Rock solid but oddly enough that car seemed to attract fender benders like crazy, maybe cuz of the yellow color.

I've only had one non-fault fender bender in my yellow.
Mine is rare and manual too!
